Overcoming abandonment, teen exceled at school as student, leader: Before graduating this summer, Kevin Lin of Council Bluffs wasn’t quite sure what school he attended. Lin had five high school classes: two at Abraham Lincoln High School, two at Thomas Jefferson High School and one at Iowa Western Community College.
