GREECE: Condemn the policemen who brutally beat Augustinos Dimitriou
GREECE: Condemn the policemen who brutally beat Augustinos Dimitriou: Six years ago, at 17/12/2006, undercover policemen in civilian clothing "arrested" a young man from Cyprus, who had just come to Thessaloniki to study. He was having a walk in the wrong place, so they assumed that he was involved in the riots that had taken place earlier. Confused, the young man, without realising that those people where the police, tried to escape and shouted for help to the riot policemen that were close to them. That's when they started to beat him up, with the excuse that he was trying to resist arrest. The young man tried to show them his identity, but that didnt help. They handcuffed him, and continued to beat him for twenty minutes or so, while he was half unconscious. After that, they took him to a hospital, and even lied about where he was. The man couldnt even let his family know where he was. Needless to say, today this young man has serious brain and mental damage, and has developed an agoraphobia. Just like that, a man's life was ruined, because some policemen decided to release their anger at someone. History repeats itself once again in Greece, as most of those policemen are about to be proved innocent.

Syria: The Explosive Barrels The Assad Forces Throw on Civilians Found in Taftanaz
Published on Jan 15, 2013
Among the arms found in Taftanaz
airport are the explosive barrels that are thrown on civilians resulting
in massive destruction and tens of casualties. TNT is the main material
used in these barrels in about 200-300 kg, in addition to other
petroleum materials spreading fire on wide range. Mineral scraps are
also added to cause more damages and different kinds of casualties among
civilians, not to mention the massive destruction of buildings.

of any human collectivity as such” (Drost, 1959, p.125). maintaining
public order” (Kuper, 1981, p.28)." (Page 6)
