The Arab League has finally given up its attempt at peace and reconciliation and is leaving this tortured land. Syrian military deserters have grabbed weapons and are now using them against former comrades in arms. Reports indicate these rebels are now operating on the outskirts of Damascus where they are attempting to enforce some form of law and order.
