The town of Harak after the raid

The town of Harak after the raid
Dozens of martyrs and casualties, and a complete communications blackout.
On Monday morning, 10 people were killed and dozens injured after security forces and Shabiha raided the town amid a complete telecommunications and electricity blackout, as well as intense gunfire. Three martyrs were killed during the raid. A number of others were killed near Al-Rifiyeh School, where they were protesting the raid on the town and security forces' abuse of those who had defied the week-old curfew.

Security forces launched a raid and arrest campaign that resulted in 250 people being transported in trucks to security centers, after they had been gathered, beaten, and humiliated in the courtyard of the Abu Bakr mosque, where they usually began their protests.

The town is experiencing a dire humanitarian crisis, in that basic services such as communications, electricity, water, and fuel have been cut off since the start of the Strike for Dignity more than one week ago.

Security forces also looted and burned most of the pharmacies in the town to deprive residents of any emergency medical assistance. There is a severe food crisis due to the continued imposition of the curfew on local residents
