Khaled said he knew of 15 protesters wounded by the gunfire. In neighbouring Berze, an activist told Al Jazeera around 3,000 protestors had gathered, but were dispersed after a short while due to a heavy security presence. Residents of Qaboun are reporting fears of a regime backlash in the neighbourhood with potential arrests and killing.
