OBAMA ASKS PUBLIC TO PRESSURE REPUBLICANS ON DEBT CEILING
In a nationally broadcast prime time speech Monday night, President Barack Obama appealed to the public to pressure House Republicans into adopting a compromise that would lift the nation’s $14.29 trillion debt ceiling enough to support the country’s borrowing needs through 2012.
