جمعة بشائر النصر دعت كل من واشنطن ولندن وباريس وبرلين والاتحاد الأوروبي الخميس، صراحة وبشكل مباشر للمرة الأولى، الرئيس بشار الأسد للتنحي عن الحكم، بينما فرضت الإدارة الأميركية عقوبات جديدة على دمشق مست للمرة الأولى قطاعي النفط والغاز. وفي تطور لافت وللمرة الأولى منذ بداية الثورة السورية منتصف مارس/ آذار، قال الرئيس الأميركي باراك أوباما إن الوقت قد حان للأسد ليرحل عن الحكم بسبب "قمعه الوحشي لشعبه". وأضاف في بيان مكتوب أن الأسد أشرف على "حملة شرسة" لسحق المتظاهرين المطالبين بالحرية، مؤكدا أن الشعب السوري سيحدد مصير بلاده لكن الأسد يقف في وجهه ويجب أن يرحل. من جانبها كررت وزيرة الخارجية الأميركية هيلاري كلينتون الدعوة للرئيس الأسد للرحيل، مؤكدة الوقوف إلى جانب الشعب السوري. وأضافت في كلمة لها أن الشعب السوري يستحق حكومة تحترم كرامته وتحافظ على حقوقه وتحقق طموحاته "والأسد يقف عائقا أمام كل هذا" مشيرة إلى أن واشنطن ستواصل العمل مع المجتمع الدولي لزيادة الضغط على النظام السوري، مؤكدة أن بلادها ستعمل كل ما يلزم لتخفيف الآثار "غير المقصودة" للعقوبات الأميركية على الشعب السوري. في غضون ذلك دعا قادة ألمانيا وفرنسا وبريطانيا الأسد للتنحي، وأضافوا في بيان مشترك أنهم يدعمون فرض عقوبات أوروبية جديدة على النظام لوقف "إراقة الدماء" في هذا البلد. ودعا البيان الأسد إلى استخلاص النتائج من الرفض الشعبي العارم لنظامه، والرحيل عن السلطة من أجل سوريا ووحدة شعبها. كما دعت المسؤولة العليا للاتحاد الأوروبي كاثرين أشتون الأسد للرحيل عن السلطة. في سياق متصل فرضت الإدارة الأميركية اليوم الخميس عقوبات جديدة على الحكومة السورية وجمدت أرصدتها في الولايات المتحدة كما حظرت استيراد المنتجات البترولية من منشأ سوري. وبموجب أحدث جولة من العقوبات ضد الأسد وحكومته، فإنه يحظر على المؤسسات الأميركية أينما كانت إبرام أي صفقات أو معاملات تتضمن منتجات النفط السورية. كما أدرجت إدارة الرئيس أوباما مجموعة جديدة من الشركات السورية على القائمة السوداء بينها المؤسسة العامة للنفط المملوكة للدولة التي تهيمن على صناعة النفط والغاز السورية. حماه حمص درعا دير الزور دمشق حلب اللاذقيه الرمل بانياس تلبيسه ادلب قامشلي طيبة الامام سرمين الحولة جبلة الرستن تلبيسه
Obama calls on Assad to step down The United States for the first time explicitly called on Thursday for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to step down and imposed new economic sanctions likely to be followed up by the European Union. U.S. President Barack Obama made his appeal after five months of a brutal Syrian government crackdown against protesters seeking an end to the 41-year reign by the Syrian president and his late father, Hafez al-Assad. The fresh U.S. sanctions would freeze Syrian government assets under U.S. jurisdiction, bar U.S. individuals or companies from transactions with Assad's government and ban U.S. imports of Syrian petroleum. The U.S. sanctions are likely to have limited impact because of the low level of U.S.-Syrian trade and the minimal U.S. imports of Syrian oil, analysts said, but would likely be followed by European nations with greater economic leverage. Britain, France and Germany also demanded that Assad go, as did the EU, whose foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton, said the bloc's 27 members were preparing to target more Syrian entities and looking at ways to broaden their sanctions
