Syria says 'ready to discuss' Assad going as fighting rages: ALEPPO, Syria (AFP) - A Syrian minister held out the prospect Tuesday that embattled President Bashar al-Assad could leave power as part of a negotiated settlement to the increasingly ferocious conflict.
