Assad supporters attack Turkish Embassy in Damascus/TRT-English

A crowd of around thousand attacked the Turkish embassy in Damascus on Saturday evening, throwing stones and bottles before Syrian police intervened to break up the protest, Anadolu Agency said.
The foreign diplomatic missions in Syria were the targets of the Assad supporters in showing their reactions against the Arab League decision suspending Syria’s membership to the union.
Turkish consulate in Aleppo and embassy in Damascus were attacked hours after the Arab League suspended Syria. Outside the Turkish embassy in Damascus, chanting anti-Turkey slogans, protesters tried to lower the Turkish flag which was intervened by the Turkish security forces.
Hence, another group of protestors gathered outside the Turkish honorary consulate in Latakia.
No officials at the Turkish diplomatic missions were injured in the protests.
Meanwhile, the Assad supporters also attacked the Saudi Arabian and Qatar embassy in Damascus and French consulates in Latakia after the Arab League suspended Syria. [read more at link]
