clipped from article: At the UN General Assembly yesterday, Monday, Navi Pillay, the head of the UN Human Rights Commission, delivered her strongest condemnation yet of President Assad and his “killing machine” in Syria.
Pillay said that Russia and China’s veto of the UN Security Council Resolution had emboldened the Syrian regime to escalate its attacks on civilians and the violent crackdown on dissidents since March 2011 had almost certainly resulted in Assad committing “crimes against humanity”.[read more at link]
