At least 11 people were killed on Friday as more than half a million people seized to the streets across the country to demand the retreat of Bashar al-Assad, one of the activists said.
As US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that time was running ready for the Syrian president, the protests came, as he tails an intense curb on pro-democracy protestors that has killed more than 1,300 people since mid-March.
Nine of the dead were taking part in anti-regime protests after weekly supplications.
The activist held "Six people, including a woman, were killed when the security forces opened fire to disperse protests in several neighborhoods of Homs in central Syria,”.
