Lebanon news - NOW Lebanon -UN chief hits back at Assad over Syria deaths

clip from article:
UN chief Ban Ki-moon on Thursday hit back at criticism from Syria's President Bashar al-Assad, insisting that information on the number of deaths in the government crackdown is "very credible."

Ban told reporters during a trip to the Dadaab refugee camps in Kenya that he could not believe that less than 4,000 people had been killed, as Assad's government has claimed.

"All the credible information is that more than 4,000 people have been killed by the government forces. The high commissioner for human rights has made it already clear through all the various sources, very credible sources," Ban said.

In an interview with US television this week, Assad dismissed the death toll of more than 4,000 given by the UN, insisting that 1,100 soldiers and police had been killed and denying any responsibility for the government crackdown.

  1. Assad is not making any sense at all, of course 4000 bodies, doctor reports, and tens of thousands of crimes being performed on camera make SOLID EVIDENCE!! Child torture is obvious from just looking at their little bodies. :(
Assad is not really that stupid, he is just trying to play the entire world as fool. We are not fooled, not at all. The World has been watching AssadCrimes daily for 9 months and we "know" the truth. This is one very evil man, that must be put down! One way or another he will be!
